From Educating Marmalade to The Ewoks!
Educating Marmalade: The spiky hared trouble making kid who she should have been named Clemontine Atkins (Clemontine was the name on a pot of marmalade) but her father was tired and so got the name wrong, chuckle.
Marmelade was played by the brilliant Charlote Coleman who would later earn a BAFTA nomination in her role in "Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit" and shock the world with her foul moth exploits in "Four Weddings And A Funeral". Sadly, Charlotte died at the age of 30 from an asthma attach, a great talent sadly lost.
THE WORST MISTAKE THEY EVER MADE,
WAS EDUCATING MARMALADE.
LET'S TOAST (getit) TO MARMALADE,
LET'S TOAST TO MARMALADE.
Emu's Broadcasting Company : Rod Hull and his stuffed bird in what was, I think, their first series. Featured Billy Dainty on the piano, Betty, the mad tea-lady and focused on the fact they were producing their own TV station, Channel 5 should have a look see!
Emu's World : Based in a pink windmill (snigger!). Emu and Hull would always be trying to outwit "Grottbags" a rather large witch and her helper Croc, who was a crocodile. A later series introduced a robot called Roddy played by the guy who played Croc. The worst thing was the "live" studio audience that always looked completely bored by it all.
The Ewoks : Cartoon based on the fury creatures in "Return Of The Jedi" who could now talk English. Usually involved Wicket getting into some sort of trouble.
